It is a real honour to have Dr. Joe Vitolo, a specialist in shaded script writing, who inspires numerous calligraphers around the world, to give us an ONLINE lecture at Kalo Make Art studio!

At the event, Dr. Joe will share a historical overview of the pointed pen script and answer your questions. This is a great opportunity for calligraphy enthusiasts to learn calligraphy in a deeper academic level and mingle with like-minded friends!

[ Lecturer Bio ]
Dr. Vitolo spends his spare time promoting the history and art of ornamental penmanship. A specialist in shaded script writing, he serves as the Historian for The International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH). Dr. Vitolo has published numerous articles on penmanship/script and has lectured extensively on the subject. In addition, he published the first interactive instructional iBook on the subject, ‘Script in the Copperplate Style’ free for the iPad and Mac. He holds two doctorates: a D.M.D. in Dentistry and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Dr. Vitolo currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University.
